Auction for Ukrainian Cultural Institutions

Thanks to the generosity of many artists and their galleries and in partnership with the don’t Take Fake team (MOT Project) we are happy to invite you to the auction which will take place on September 24 at 5 p.m. at Espace Tajan.

The benefits from the auction will be transmitted to the Chernihiv Art Museum in Ukraine through the MOT fund. The sums committed will contribute to the restoration of the museum building damaged during the bombings as well as the creation of a restoration workshop in order to preserve the museum’s collections. If the total sum is enough for more renovation works, the fund will support the restoration for more art institutions that were shortlisted during the open call.

The auction entitled MOT (Module of Temporality) is the continuation of the eponymous project created by don’t Take Fake team. ‘Module of Temporality’ exhibition is a combination of contemporary painting and sculpture, street art and video installations which were put together by curatorial team of Fabrice Bousteau capturing the transience of the present moment. Constructed of 27 containers the architectural concept and interior of MOT were designed by Balbek Bureau.

This exhibition was created in the format of a conversation between the 28 participating artists and visitors on the theme of “temporality”, the fragility of this time, which is suspended, uncertain and can lead to any situation, because nothing is frozen or final.
